Dr. Moana, also known as Dr. Joel Filmore, is a licensed clinical therapist in the State of Illinois and Clinical Professor at Northern Illinois University. She uses her platform to discuss complex issues like sexual trauma, LGBTQ experiences, sex trafficking, multiculturalism and more.

She takes a serious and light-hearted dive into the world of mental health, wellness, the LGBT community, and Pop Culture. Dr. Moana is a Black, Queer-identified, Trans, Non-Binary, Drag Queen.
